Aqua N-Cap is a super absorbent polymer that you sift over a spill, give it time to microencapsulate, then pick or net it up. Aqua N-Cap is safe for operators and environmentally friendly. It is especially effective for cleanup of oil spills, gasoline spills, fuel spills, and hydraulic/automotive fluid spills around marine bilge areas, fueling depots, marinas, docks, lakes, rivers, and any open water.

Environmentally safe. Beware of the word "biodegradable". If the absorbent biodegrades, it will free the hydrocarbon back into the environment. Aqua N-Cap microencapsulated hydrocarbons are non-biodegradable, non-leachable, and non-reactive.

Used or absorbed Aqua N-Cap may be eligible for disposal in landfills since it, if properly applied, can meet US and Canadian TCLP leachate standards, thus alleviating the expense of hazardous waste packaging, transportation, and disposal costs.

How it works.

TEPCO is a pioneer in microencapsulation technologies. Our Aqua N-Cap Polymer (patent pending) is a unique copolymer that rapidly absorbs hydrocarbons into the elastomeric portion of the copolymer molecule. The absorbed hydrocarbon acts as a plasticizer with the elastomer generating a solid rubber-like substance from the copolymer particulate crumb that is easily recovered from the surface of water. Hydrocarbons and other nonpolar contaminants become microencapsulated on a molecular level.

Aqua N-Cap polymer is effective on gasoline, diesel, crude oil, automotive fluids, kerosene, jet fuel, motor oils, hydraulic fluids and other hydrocarbon based spills or releases.
